CEM Special Seminar: Technology Licensing & Startups

This special Center for Emergent Materials sponsored seminar will explore the commercialization process from idea conception to licensing and start-ups. Representatives from OSU’s Technology Commercialization Office will define intellectual property, discuss patentability, and will explain how intellectual property is accessed for commercial value.  Licensing options will be explained and there will be an introduction to the TCO’s new Accelerator Awards program, designed to provide funding for early-stage, commercially promising technologies. In addition, CEM Associate Director Jessica Winter, founder and Chief Science Officer of Core Quantum Technologies, will be available to answer questions regarding start-up companies and commercial funding opportunities beyond OSU.
