“Studies of electronic properties of novel materials using Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy.”
Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) is a unique tool to study electronic properties (band structure + interactions) of materials. Advances in electron optics, cryogenics and lasers have revolutionized this technique over last decade and a half. In this talk I will present principle and applications of ARPES to study copper and iron based high temperature superconductors.
