Resources
- OSU Materials Research Seed Grant Program. A collaborative effort by the Center for Emergent Materials, the Center for Exploration of Novel Complex Materials, and the Institute for Materials Research, which offers three funding tiers designed to achieve the greatest impact for seeding excellence in materials research of varying scopes, and with the goal of generating new directions that extend beyond the boundaries of existing research programs.
- All eight Topical Materials Research Programs (DMR-TMRPs) in the Division of Materials Research, including CMP program, now have an open window for proposal submission effective October 16, 2021.
- This is a major change compared to last several years when we had a fixed window of submission.
- The following TMRP funding opportunities are found in this solicitation https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2021/nsf21600/nsf21600.htm and include: Biomaterials (BMAT), Ceramics (CER), Condensed Matter Physics (CMP), Electronic and Photonic Materials (EPM), Metals and Metallic Nanostructures (MMN), Polymers (POL), and Solid State and Materials Chemistry (SSMC). The Condensed Matter and Materials Theory (CMMT) program has its own solicitation https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2020/nsf20582/nsf20582.pdf, also with open window.
- DMR will offer an informational webinar on Thursday, September 9th from 1-3 pm EST to answer your questions regarding this new open window solicitation.
